Adv Laser & IPL Accreditation Course (Applied cosmetic practice)
This is a practical online laser safety course with comprehensive information on IPL hair removal, laser tattoo removal, pigmentation, skin resurfacing and vascular conditions. This course builds on the safety information and common clinical applications of lasers and IPL in clinical practice covered in the Laser & intense pulsed light safety training course or in other introductory laser safety courses. It has in depth coverage of clinical presentations including the reduction of unwanted hair, pigmentation disorders, vascular conditions, photodynamic therapy, skin rejuvenation and resurfacing and tattoo removal. It has a significant section on the principles of professional and clinical practice and covers such topics as AHPRA compliant advertising and the prevention of burns. It includes a set of laser safety standard operating policy and procedure templates and a clear logbook to record practical experience.
Who is it for?
GPs, doctors, nurses, beauty therapists and other dermal clinicians or skin therapists.
How long does it take?
Ten to fourteen hours at your own pace, in your own time.
IMPORTANT: A Radiation Health Department (WA, Qld, Tas) accredited laser safety certification is required to complete the Advanced Laser & IPL accreditation for aesthetic practice. You will be contacted to provide evidence of this prior to enrolment. If you do not have one, we invite you to enrol in the Laser & IPL safety training course (cosmetic practice) first.
